Compared with single stone dressing tools, these tools have the advantage that they can be used without having to be serviced right up until they have worn down completely. They are baked together to form a cylindrical aggregate from ground, milled diamond in various sieve sizes and from metal powder from very abrasion proof bronze or mechanically resistant material. The baked metal cartridge is then soldered into the appropriate holder. With this type of tool, the dressing work is carried out by several small diamonds, which together result in excellent performance. Diamond-impregnated dressing tools attain flat surfaces and sharp edges above all with narrow wheels. In order to attain good results, the diamond particle must have at least double the grinding wheel grain to be dressed. Tools with a higher diamond content are more efficient in this case..
