Tracer diamonds are produced according to requirements from natural diamonds, as well as from PCD = poly-crystalline diamonds. They are cut ball-shaped, tapered or flat. The smallest radii and geometry allow applications in the µm range of systems for measuring surface roughness. The extreme hardness of diamonds ensures a great degree of measuring accuracy even on the most abrasive surfaces. Even continuous controls on moving material are no problem thanks to the outstanding sliding qualities of polished diamond radii. As a result, even the finest films can be measured with diamond tracers. The diamond insert leads to an improvement in the tool life of conventional measuring heads in extreme environments. Diamonds are used as protection against sliding when mea-suring uranium fuel assemblies.Due to the variety of shapes and types, we would ask you to enclose a drawing with any enquiries or orders. Of course we offer a re-cutting service for practically all current measuring tracers.
