The actual diamond content in multi-stone dressing tools is usually higher than in single stone tools. Nevertheless, the price is considerably lower because predominantly small diamonds are used. The diamonds can be arranged in all different kinds of variations, depending on the field of application. They are inserted manually in one or several layers. As in the case of multi-stone dressing tools, a larger diamond surface is employed on the grinding wheel, the workload is optimally distributed. The wheel material is worn down more quickly as a result. The multi-stone dressing tool wears down much slower compared with single diamond tools. It need not be re-set or re-cut during its entire service life. Multi-stone dressing tools are usually used for large, wide grinding wheels.
