PCD-Turning and Milling Tools

Poly-crystalline diamond (PCD) is used in many cutting operations as a substitute for mono-crystalline diamonds (MCD). Thanks  to its polymeric design, the sintered and pressed substrate however generally only achieves poor quality surface finishes. Its advantages are in the interrupted cut and in cases of extreme wedge angle  geometry. The fracture toughness of the material, which is three times greater, has a very stabilising effect on the cutting edge.The correct type of PCD for the respective task, polished cut surfaces and  the finest ground cutting edges are important characteristics of our tools.

CBN-Turning and Milling Tools

CBN tools (cubical boron nitride) enable dry processing of hard iron
materials in the 45 – 65 HRC range. In addition,  they are suitable for cutting softer cast iron and grey cast iron. In contrast to the traditional grinding processes, so-called hard turning offers many advantages thanks to the higher flexibility of the  tool and a simpler automation effort. Precise cuts additionally ensure safe work piece accuracy. CBN tools also significantly reduce the impact on the environment. The high innovative value of these tools is  clearly evident due to the fact that grinding sludge and cooling lubricants can be
dispensed with and any chips produced recycled. Costs can be reduced even further, thanks to the reasonable charges for  repair, which is repeatedly possible. We offer a large number of special tools for internal and external processing.
