In addition to the development of UP dressing tools in the previously mentioned plate shapes, at the same time work was also carried out to develop a replacement tool for classical single stone dressing tools. The objective was likewise to obtain a steady effective width of the diamond over the entire tool life. Special shaping and distribution of the proportion of diamond to matrix ensure a high degree of reliability for the customer.
From the point of view of the cost of tools, these tools present an interesting alternative to the traditional dressing tools. Matched to disc grain and bond, these UP dressing tools, with their long tool life and reproducible RZ values, are more than just an alternative.
Many of our customers have obtained improved grinding results thanks to the use of UP dressing tools, even on older style grinding machines.
We support retrofitting on the machines by making appropriate adjustment tables available.
